Dr. Phillip R. Ash

Dr. Phillip R. Ash is
the founding Partner of Change 360 e-Books & Consulting. He has more than 20 years
of consulting experience working in China with companies like Dawncom and
Compaq, in Korea with LG Electronics, in Taiwan with China American
Petroleum Company, in Hong Kong with Ramada, in the Philippines with the
Coca-Cola Company, and in the United States with Burger King, Quaker Oats, Tenneco,
PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, Georgia-Pacific, Allied-Signal, Liberty Glass Company,
Telex Computer Products, Home Shopping Network, Sperry Marine, and others.
Prior
to founding Change 360 in 1998, Dr. Ash was the Managing Director of
Change Management, Greater China, for Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture Consulting). He managed more than 50 consultants based in
Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei, generating more than $4 million
in annual revenues. The picture above is from a seminar and retreat
he hosted for his staff in Hong Kong. He joined Andersen Consulting
in 1994 and was initially assigned to the Atlanta office. In 1995, Dr. Ash
was promoted and transferred to Andersen's consulting office in Seoul,
Korea. A year later, he moved to Taiwan and assumed responsibility for the
Greater China Change Management Consulting Practice.
From 1992 to 1994,
Dr. Ash worked for Alexander & Alexander Consulting, initially to
establish an Organizational Effectiveness consulting practice in Atlanta.
Later, he was appointed Acting National Practice Leader for Organizational
Effectiveness consulting in Canada.
From 1988 to 1992, he was a
Principal with the Watson-Wyatt Company. Dr. Ash orchestrated the
start-up of an organizational effectiveness consulting practice in Phoenix, Arizona.
He conducted a variety of human resource consulting assignments in the
Mountain States Region,
specializing in performance management, organizational development, and
compensation.
From 1982 to 1987,
Phillip founded and managed his own consulting firm in Dallas, Texas -
Phillip Ash & Associates. Through his firm, Dr. Ash participated in
several corporate turnaround projects in Tulsa, OK - most notably Telex
Computer Products and Liberty Glass Company. In addition, he
partnered with Sun Venture Capital Partners to conduct due diligence
studies and turnaround proposals.
Dr. Ash began his
consulting career with Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant in 1977. Later
he became a Manager in the Dallas
Office and served as Practice Leader until 1982.
Prior to consulting,
Dr. Ash was a member of the faculty at Columbia College and the University
of Missouri. He taught numerous conducts of Personnel Finance and
Principles of Management at MU from 1974 through 1975. From 1976 to
1977, he taught several conducts of Strategic Planning, Human Resources
Management, Marketing Management, and Principles of Management at Columbia
College.
